Assignments are the worst. I would just like to say, always start your assignments early!
Oh and I am soooo keen for this weekend! Matt Corby is a dream! ♥ Dalby here - I - come!
And just to clarify, One Night Stand is the name of the one day music festival I am going to.

Daylight Delights
Today was rather lovely. I spent the morning at church with the incredibly fun 10-13 year olds (as I am a leader for the kid church) it was a wonderful time! When we finished, I was quite hungry so on my way home I bought some fresh bread (so tasty!). I got home and opened my finger printed mac, looking at blogs I had been told of. Thanks to one of my friends from uni, I am now obsessed with Sarah Britton's blog My New Roots! It is exquisite! The photos are so beautiful and the food looks so fresh and crisp.
It inspired me.
So for lunch we had quinoa with roasted zuchinni, capsicum and sweet potato and fresh tomato and fetta. It was so incredibly tasty!
Myself and my parents sat rugged up, out near the veggie garden.
During lunch, we talked of hanging glass baubles over the garden, planting daisies and making home made cumquat jam (with our very own cumquats) and homemade barbecue sauce (made from our very own tomatoes... yes there are tomato's in barbecue sauce!).
We went inside feeling content.
I went down stairs to work on my assignments and my parents went up stairs. Moments later, I hear ukulele being played. "Wait!" I thought to myself. "This is Beirut!".
My parents had taught themselves to play Postcards From Italy, Scenic World and Elephant Gun by Beirut (one of my favourite musical artists). Then they were playing J.S. Bach's 'Bourrée from Suite in e-mino' (here is a version being played with uke and guitar)
I am now back to doing my assignments.
Good luck to all of you who are going through the misery of assignments also.
I'm sure you will do wonderfully.
Until next time my dears.

About Me
Hello, my name is Genevieve and I'm pleased to meet you!
I am a Social Work student and am quite enjoying it. Although, I have to say, my heart really does lie in the creative field. I dream to one day own my own roaming store, to write a lifestyle book and to live in a house full of light, life and joy.
Here is where I will write all about my thoughts and adventures, review a thing or two, recommend some music and show you some DIY projects, recipes and a few other tips and tricks along the way!
With deep thoughts, long days, an overly active brain, a not particularly meticulous writing style and computer always at the ready, you will soon get a glimpse of my thoughts, life and on-goings.
Oh! Also, if you ever have any questions (about anything at all), or would just like to chat, please do email me and say hello! I sure do love meeting new people.

New Beginnings
Hello, my name is Genevieve. Pleased to meet you.
This is the start of something beautiful. Something fresh. Something new.
This blog is most like a documentation of my life.
My going on about on goings.
