Living on a Dream.

Last weekend.
Well, I dare say it feels like a dream.  It was almost so perfect that it felt like a dream. All of it.

It started off with the promise of glorious things to come.  Woke up early on Saturday morning and got ready for the biannual indie markets: Finders Keepers.
So many beautifully, handcrafted delights (although a little pricey), wonderfully creative people and rooms full of inspiration.

This wonderful event is held biannually: Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter at the beautiful Old Museum in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Finders Keepers is also held in Melbourne and Sydney (so if you're from those parts and haven't been, make sure you check them out!)

Also during the day, there is plenty of food, drinks and music. Also if you working on the Saturday, don't you worry! Because these markets are held over the Saturday AND Sunday.

After the markets, we dawdled over to Brisbane CBD. (Well, we caught the train there and played a game while one the train: you have to stand up and you're not allowed to hold on to anything or anyone. This was especially fun in our largish group, as we stood huddled together in the doorway of the train.. Oh boy, it was funny!)

We then wondered down to the somewhat unknown cafe, Bean.
This little, hidden cafe was perfect for the Cub Scouts secret show.
We walked down the stairs and crammed into the little venue, to wait in anticipation of the tunes to come.
With low hanging light bulbs and Iced coffee in old beer bottles, this thing was bound to be a hit.

The squishiness was well worth it!

With plenty of head bopping and swaying, the Cub Scouts were a delight to watch and pure sweetness to the ears.
They closed the gig with their song Evie, which coincidentally isn't about a girl, but Tim Nelson's beloved dog. (you can get your very own free download of Evie here

A few of us then went for an adventure out to the sticks of Redland Bay where we had a bon fire at one of my beautiful friend's place. With marshmallows, shooting stars, good company and music, guitar playing and sing-alongs, explorations in the long grass near the lake, countless stories shared, and the best game of sardines I have ever played in my life! It was definitely a night I won't be forgetting any time soon!

So, all in all I had pretty well the most splendid weekend anyone could ask for.

Blessed.
