Daylight Delights

Today was rather lovely. I spent the morning at church with the incredibly fun 10-13 year olds (as I am a leader for the kid church) it was a wonderful time! When we finished, I was quite hungry so on my way home I bought some fresh bread (so tasty!). I got home and opened my finger printed mac, looking at blogs I had been told of. Thanks to one of my friends from uni, I am now obsessed with 's blog My New Roots! It is exquisite! The photos are so beautiful and the food looks so fresh and crisp.
It inspired me.
So for lunch we had quinoa with roasted zuchinni, capsicum and sweet potato and fresh tomato and fetta. It was so incredibly tasty!
Myself and my parents sat rugged up, out near the veggie garden.

During lunch, we talked of hanging glass baubles over the garden, planting daisies and making home made cumquat jam (with our very own cumquats) and homemade barbecue sauce (made from our very own tomatoes... yes there are tomato's in barbecue sauce!).

We went inside feeling content.
I went down stairs to work on my assignments and my parents went up stairs. Moments later, I hear ukulele being played. "Wait!" I thought to myself. "This is Beirut!".
My parents had taught themselves to play Postcards From ItalyScenic World and Elephant Gun by Beirut (one of my favourite musical artists). Then they were playing J.S. Bach's 'BourrĂ©e from Suite in e-mino' (here is a version being played with uke and guitar)

I am now back to doing my assignments.
Good luck to all of you who are going through the misery of assignments also.
I'm sure you will do wonderfully.

Until next time my dears.
